The Nursing Department has participated in the UL France summer program since 1999. Why not spend the summer in Europe, traveling to new countries, studying nursing and a variety of subjects offered to all students? Imagine yourself spending June in Paris, sitting in open-air cafes and strolling along the Seine next to Notre Dame. Through the classes offered, you can visit several health care institutions on class field trips, study the paintings of Degas and Van Gogh at the Musee d’Orsay or attend a performance of a French play; draw, photograph and paint the major sites of the city and explore France’s rich history and culture. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette offers an exciting six-week summer program in Paris, France from May 27, 2012 to July 9, 2012. Students take two (2) courses: Nursing 398 "European Healthcare" and Nursing 399 "Human Sexuality" for a total of six (6) credit hours. This schedule allows students to explore Paris and the immediate areas, as well as receive college instruction in English from knowledgeable, dedicated professors.
